The story Saint Paul is one of powerful conversion, and steadfastness in the faith until death. The once fervent Saul, persecutor of the faithful now transformed by encountering Christ, spends his last days in a prison cell awaiting execution by the infamous Nero. While there, Prefect Mauritius wonders how such a man as Paul, now much aged, could pose a threat to the empire. When Paul's friend Luke comes to visit, he resolves then to write a new book, one that details The Way and the birth of what would eventually become known as the Christian Church.
