Blessed Solanus Casey Statue
Hand-painted Catholic Statuary
This humble man followed many different paths in life, including that of a lumberjack, streetcar driver, a hospital orderly, a guard in a prison and even considered the married life. But after witnessing a tragic event, he felt a distinct call to the priesthood, and so asked Our Lady for help. He heard a voice tell him to, "...go to Detroit" There he would enter the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. He was known for his humility, and love of the sick for whom he said special Masses, he was a well-known confessor and had a love of the violin like his namesake.
Plaster statue, measures 12 x 3.5" wide (base).
