Nothing short of breathtaking

I am often disappointed with many Catholic statues of this size as of late, but I wasn't with this one! The statue is properly proportioned and beautifully painted with no defects. The purpose of any Catholic art is to assist in lifting the up the mind of the observer to things unseen, God and his saints and angels! This statue fulfills that description. Please bring on more, especially of the Dominican Order!.
