"Go and fear nothing. I will help you." This lovely image of Our Lady of Champion is rooted in the visions of Adele Brise, the seer of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wisconsin in 1859. Now, over 150 years later, the Shrine on the apparition grounds, newly renamed to the Shrine of Our Lady of Champion (formerly Our Lady of Good Help), stands as a pilgrimage spot for the United States and the entire world.
This statue is very unique. At Mary's feet are the leaves of a maple and hemlock tree; believed to be the two trees she was standing between during the first apparition to the seer. Mary herself is in the same posture as Our Lady of Grace, with outstretched hands. Unlike any other apparition, Adele claimed that Mary had lighter hair, possibly even blond, which is replicated closely on this statue with the light brown hair.
This statue is very unique and special for a number of reasons:
- It is the only personal-sized statue of Our Lady of Champion available online - and it is exclusively sold at Catholic Home And Church
- It is designed completely after the artistic renditions of Our Lady of Champion produced by the Shrine
- The statues are produced in South America by a small Catholic family business
- Every single statue is hand painted
