This gorgeous piece features the patron of Ireland holding the Shamrock he used to explain the doctrine of the Holy Trinity to the people he aimed to convert to the true religion. Patrick may have began his life in Ireland as a slave, but once free he would later return as a bishop and preacher to those who were his captors.
