Blessed be God by Fr C Callan and Fr J McHugh

Blessed Be God is more than simply a compilation of prayers. Many sections are preceded with information (such as history of the devotions presented). It also includes meditations and reflections Christian virtues, the Four Last Things, and from the Imitation of Christ. Due to its time of publication, many prayers were unfamiliar to me, or hiding in my faulty memory, but welcome additions to my current prayer life. It may do the same for you. I recommend this volume highly, and use it often.

Blessed Be God is a prayerbook I have possessed since the late 1960s. It is a wonderful book for private meditation and also contains a multitude of prayers for just about any need you might have. I can not recommend this book more highly. It is well worth the cost. I personally have the soft edition as I prefer this type to a hard cover book. It has a rich soft texture, but I do not know if it is real leather or imitation, but this is my preference. It really shouldnt matter, for the wealth of its contents is the reason for owning a copy.
